FuzziBunz Diaper review and {GIVEAWAY!!!}

I used to think that using cloth diapers was crazy and required way too much effort. Why in the world would a person use cloth when they could use disposables? This was all before actually having a child and taking out a small loan to keep it in diapers. I now understand the draw towards cloth diapering. My husband and I have been talking about using them for awhile and I wanted to give them a try to find out what I thought so I was so excited to be able to do a review for FuzziBunz .

Forget the cloth diapers of the past. It is no longer a hassle of having to pin the diaper on to your baby or having to put an extra plastic shield over the cloth diaper. FuzzieBunz makes it so easy for you. They have two different kinds of diapers to fit whatever kind of needs you have. First off, they have the perfect sized diapers that you can buy in the exact size your baby is in at the moment and will fit perfectly. Then they have the one size diaper which is a diaper that has snaps on it making it so it will fit your baby from birth to potty training. Can you believe that one diaper can literally fit your baby that long? Why in the world would you keep throwing your money away on disposables?

I reviewed the one size diaper and loved it. I am definitely convinced that cloth diapers are the way to go. Since this is the first cloth diaper I have ever used I didn't really know how it compared to other diapers so I had Dinisha also review the diaper since she is pretty much an expert on cloth diapering. Here is her opinion:

This pocket diaper has a super soft fleece lining the inside- nice against baby’s bum. The micro-terry insert and doubler are nice and thick (thicker than another one-size diaper). We only use our pocket diapers as our night diapers since we can stuff them with more for extra absorbency. I haven’t had to add an extra layer in with the Fuzzi Bunz. The insert with doubler are perfect.

The wide back pocket makes it easy to stuff. The adjustment is an elastic adjuster with buttons in the leg elastic (like adjustable children’s jeans). That claims to adjust to 8+ sizes. This is a new concept to me. I’m thinking this system may work better than other one-size systems that have snaps in the front to adjust the rise. My frustrating experience with other systems, is that they unsnap in the rise as I’m stretching the waist around to get a snug fit. The waist snaps have 4+ settings. It took me a couple of times to get used to the 3 snaps on each side (I am used to only 2 per side) and I had to remember to snap the ones towards the back first. Not a bad thing, just something to get used to. I think this lower snap will help give a better fit around the legs. Oh, and I do love snaps! I have a wiggler so snaps can be difficult, but I have yet to have any brand Velcro/ Aplix that doesn’t disappoint me with curled edges that stick to everything.

We have not had any leaks with this diaper. And despite my daughter’s chunky thighs, we have had leaks out the legs from other systems. I feel confident putting her to bed with the one-size Fuzzi Bunz. The PUL cover comes in nice colors (19!) and feels nice and trim. Fuzzi Bunz claims this is their trimmest one-size….I haven’t tried any other Fuzzi Bunz one-size, but it seems on par with other pocket diapers. How trim your pocket diaper is depends on what and how much you stuff it with. It’s been worn 4-5 times so far and had about 6-7 washings and looks like new still. I hang dry all my pockets, but put the inserts in the dryer. So far, I’m loving this diaper (even more than $28 pockets)! Oh, and the price, $19, can’t be beat.
