Frosty Festivities: Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Vacuum Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

Since my son became mobile, he has become quite messy. Some days I feel like I am just following him around picking up toys, crumbs, and disasters. At the end of the day, I love to feel like my home is fresh and clean just by vacuuming. Unfortunately, my previous vacuums have never done the job quite like the Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Vacuum. This new vacuum is super lightweight without any loss of power or suction.

The day my new vacuum arrived, I immediately wanted to try it out. I vacuumed just the family room and my son's room (which had been vacuumed 2 days prior) and was astonished at how much dirt, hair, food, and nastiness the Hoover picked up. My carpet looked brand new again, standing upright instead of being flattened in high traffic areas.
A close up of our filth. This vacuum sucked up more in one use than our previous vacuum sucked up in a month. Pretty impressive. The WindTunnel technology has air passages that trap dirt and channel it into the dirt cup, minimizing blow back or scattering what you vacuumed up back to your floor.
I love how everything about this vacuum is easy, including the emptying out the dirt. The container snaps right off the vacuum and twists open. The best part of this vacuum is that it has a rinsable filter and a high quality HEPA filter that never needs to be replaced with proper care.
Because every mom could always use things that make their life just a little bit easier, the Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Vacuum has a cord rewind. I am in love with this feature! I just simply press a button and hold the cord so it doesn't whip around. The cord winds itself within about 10-15 seconds.
The hose is released by a button and locks back into place. I also am impressed with this feature because my previous vacuum's hose would release itself while I was vacuuming and spit out everything I was vacuuming. You can also attach some great tools to make cleaning even easier and more effective:

• Air-Powered Hand Tool - puts hard-to-reach cleaning in the palm of your hand
• 12-Inch extension Wand - extends reach of the hose
• Crevice Tool - helps clean nooks and crannies
• Upholstery/Dusting Brush - helps get furniture clean

Instead of dragging the cord along with you as you vacuum, you can pop it in the cord clip. Genius.
The power button is conveniently located on the handle, but not in a place where you might accidentally turn it off while vacuuming.
The green button turns red when it is time to rinse your filter so you never have to worry or wonder.
You can adjust the settings on your vacuum for better suction depending on your high carpet or low carpet/bare floor.

Having babies requires an insane amount of stuff. It can't get extremely pricey with everything being overpriced just because it's for baby. I had the opportunity to review the Dream On Me Sleigh Toddler Bed in Espresso. I had actually been looking for the perfect toddler bed for months, even though my son is just barely getting ready for it. I was thrilled to have found a bed that fit all of my qualifications and was only $100! Lucky for all of you, this toddler bed is on sale now for only $58.95!! I couldn't believe it either.

I was a little disappointed when the bed arrived. The box had torn and exposed part of the bed. It had scratched the wood some. I am not sure if this was a CSNBaby error, as it could have been the shipping company or my apartment complex. My husband and I did think this bed took quite a bit of time to put together, but once it was complete we were beyond pleased.

This toddler bed is not only super stylish with it's sleigh features and dark finish, it also is fantastic for our toddler. It is low to the ground in case your child happens to fall out of bed and so they can easily get themselves up in the morning. I love the side rails. While my son tends to move around a lot in his sleep, I believe these rails give him the initial comfort to put him to sleep. The bed is very sturdy, well made, and high quality. I imagine that this bed will last my son for as long as he can fit in it. You may use your standard crib mattress for this bed.

I had the opportunity to review the Zebra Green Flannel Pajama. From the picture, I assumed these pajamas would be thin and lightweight, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that these flannel pajamas are actually really thick, warm, and so comfy. I am 5'7 and for some reason all my pajama pants are always too short for me, but these were long enough and I love them! The top, however, was a little short and the sleeves were also a little short. I would have preferred that the top be altogether longer and more fitted. I would most likely wear a long sleeve shirt under the top to make it look like it fit a little better. With that said, I am so excited to wake up on Christmas morning wearing these adorably bright pajamas.

Frosty Festivities: LeapFrog Zippity review and {Giveaway!!!}

Another great toy by LeapFrog! Zippity is a video game for kiddos age 3-5 years. My favorite thing about it is that the kids have to stand up, jump, and move around. No lazy sitting on behinds. It's also a great teaching tool. The kids are tricked into learning while they play! Children can learn their colors, numbers, etc. while playing games.

She loved hopping on the mat to make the frog hop, too. It was easy for her to learn to use the system by moving the "bopper" (basically a giant joystick) and stepping on spots on the mat. One of the games, serving food to customers and adding it up, was a little difficult for her. With more practice, she may improve her math skills. Also, that tells me that older children might enjoy the game, too.
Zippity comes with 4 built-in groups of games, plus you can purchase extra games to play. The built-in groups include Whinny the Pooh, Mickey Mouse, Little Einsteins, & Handy Manny, with 4 games each. Between the built-ins and the add-ons, there is plenty to keep kids happy!

I also received a Disney's Princess and the Frog game to play with the system. This is the game that has the hopping frog my friend's little girl loved. The animation is cute and it looks like that will be a great movie!
One improvement I would make is to increase to processing power because it does pause to load often. However, a faster processor would mean higher cost, so it's great because this system is a great price. It can also use up to 6 C batteries, or 3 if you have an AC adapter (which I have already) to use with it. It is great because there are less cords for kids to hurt themselves on. The mat is wireless and communicates with a console that attaches to the TV.With all the cute, educational, & interactive fun; I really think Zippity makes a great gift for little ones!

Frosty Festivities: SproutBaby 'Holiday Gift Set' Review

I have worked with SproutBaby a few times and have absolutely loved all of their products. They pay attention to detail and focus on providing products that moms love and are safe for baby. I received four different samples of amazing products from SproutBaby.
The first product was BabyGanics The Grime Fighter All Purpose Household Cleaner. I always love all natural ways to clean my home. My son is likely to eat off of or suck on almost any surface of my house. I feel comforted knowing that while my home is super clean, it is also super safe. You can use this all purpose cleaner on your high chair, changing table, crib, cabinets, counter tops, and anywhere else your heart desires. This a product all moms need to own, especially since you most likely own a messy baby/toddler.
I am a total freak about germs. I think I have trained my son to be as well. He loves to use hand sanitizer and so do I, but I do worry about the alcohol and other dangerous chemicals used in the typical hand sanitizers. The Clean Well All-Natural Hand Sanitizer comes in a handy spray bottle that is alcohol free and still claims to kill 99.99% of germs naturally. At only $4.00, this is honestly a product I will never do without. It is a perfect travel size to take along to the park, out to eat, to the store, everywhere! Each 1 FL oz. has 225+ sprays!
The Episencial Body Butter is a hydrating lotion that is thin and smooth. It is free of parabens, hormones, phenoxyethanol, preservatives, phthalates, EDTA, SLS, fragrances, petroleum, gluten, and nut oils. It is organic and safe for babies, kids, and grown ups. My hands get particularly dry, flaky, and sore during this cold weather. After rubbing on some lotion, my hands instantly were relieved, soft, and felt protected from the weather. My son, who has had reactions to some baby lotions, has yummy, smooth skin now thanks to this lotion.
Lastly, I received a couple of Nature Baby Care Disposable Diapers. I am pretty picky about diapers because my son is easily prone to rashes and it really bothers me when my son wakes up in the middle of the night with jammies that are wet from a diaper that didn't do its job. I was pretty impressed with these diapers. I did decide to test out the diaper at night. When I changed my son the next morning, his bottom was very dry, possibly dryer than his usual Huggies diapers. However, I wish the straps stuck a little better, as I noticed that as the diaper became heavier in the night that the straps began to sag and become slightly unattached. Overall, I was pleased with these eco-friendly diapers. They fully decompose in a landfill and don't harm the environment.
