CSN Stores Desk Review

When we moved into our townhome, I was pleasantly surprised to find a little nook that would be perfect for me to scrapbook and do crafts. I didn't have a desk or table so I started searching for one that had the appropriate measurements for such a tight space. CSNStores.com, who has never failed me, had exactly what I was looking for.
Going through their office furniture, I decided a children's desk would be my best option since it is a little lower and smaller. I chose the TMS Cameron Children's Desk in black with a white top. CSN offers free shipping on a ton of their products which I love because shipping can often times put me over the budget I was hoping to spend. This desk is priced at $70.99 with free shipping. An excellent deal!
The desk was actually kind of difficult to put together. I would have liked more thorough instructions, but once my husband and I did get it together, we were very impressed. The desk is extremely sturdy and has great features including a shelf at the bottom for a desktop (I use it for craft storage), a pull out keyboard drawer (I use for scrapbook paper), and a small computer screen shelf that I use for more craft supplies. The desk is actually a great height. I am 5'7 and can still fit my legs under the desk comfortably. I love it and it has made a great addition to our home.

Balboa Baby Nursing Pillow Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

When I had son, I wasn't very pleased with my nursing pillow. It wasn't firm enough to provide the support I desired and it was much too low to bring my baby to my breast without me having to do all of the work anyways. I knew with my upcoming baby, I wanted something totally different. When I saw Balboa Baby's Nursing Pillow, it looked exactly like what I had in mind.

I received the Balboa Baby Nursing Pillow in the Coco pattern. Even though my baby hasn't arrived yet, I am beyond impressed with this pillow. The pillow is firm and brings your baby right to your breast for ultimate comfort and relaxation. To make sure someone with a new baby agreed, I had a friend try out my stylish nursing pillow for a week. She was also very pleased with the pillow.

She, like myself, loves the perfect contour of the pillow that declines the baby into your breast. After her use, I found I also loved that the cover unzips from the pillow and can be machine washed. The cover is replaced after wash very easily. I highly recommend the Balboa Baby Nursing Pillow. It is excellent and even goes with my nursery decor!

I have been discovering that potty training is not even close to being easy, for mommy or child. Holding a toddler on the toilet takes some strength and being that I am pregnant, I don't have a lot of that. The Little Looster is a booster for your potty using child. Powermat review and {GIVEAWAY!!}

I had the opportunity to review the Powermat and am so excited to tell you guys about it. This just might be the best product I have ever been able to review. This is one of those products that everyone needs to have in their house. A Powermat is a device made to charge multiple electronic devices at one time. Here is a brief explanation (from the Powermat website):

The Powermat Wireless Charging System provides a simple, fast and efficient way to keep all of your favorite personal electronic devices charged. Enabling your devices with Powermat Receivers allows you to Drop and Charge them on any Powermat Mat to experience wireless charging."

The mat itself is about 1/2 thick and extremely light so it is easy to move around to whatever spot you want to charge your devices at. The way it works is Powermat sends you a new back for whatever device you want to charge on the Powermat and you remove your old back and snap the new one on. I have a blackberry and it was simple to attach the new back.

Once the back is on, all you have to do is set it on the Powermat and your phone will start charging. Easy as pie.

Powermat offers an array of different adapters so you can charge almost any small device without having to put special Powermat back on it.

Powermat also makes a fold up mat that comes with it's own case so you have an easy way to charge up while traveling.

I absolutely LOVE the Powermat! I honestly think it is worth every penny. It has been so nice at night to just drop my phone on the mat beside the bed before I go to sleep instead of search for the cord, plug it in and then find a place to set my phone. This would make an awesome gift for a tech savvy friend or relative, or for yourself!

Right now Powermat is the ultimate way to charge up your smaller electronics, but according to the NY Times, there are big plans for the future:

“Over time, Powermat hopes to get its technology implanted into things like kitchen counters and even walls: a household could power a flat-panel TV straight from the wall without any cables.”

Can you imagine? How awesome would it be to have your TV charging without having to find a plug in for it?

fusionbrands foodpod and iceorb Review

fusionbrands offers products you always wish you had in the kitchen, but were never actually available. From cooking tongs that you wear to a silicone lacing tool, fusionbrands just made working in the kitchen easier.
I received a couple of products to review. The first being the foodpod. This is a seriously cool invention. This silicone pod is used to blanch, boil, steam, and drain. It can be used to steam veggies, boil eggs, cook shellfish, and more.
I recently wanted to make deviled eggs so I tried out my new foodpod. The foodpod helps your food cook even and more effectively. My favorite part of using the pod was once the eggs were cooked, I just removed the entire thing, let it drain over the pot, and put it straight in the fridge to cool off. I didn't need a strainer and there wasn't any mess removing the eggs.
Our fridge doesn't have an automatic ice maker so we have been needing an ice tray and this iceorb definitely does the trick.

To use, you fill the outside silicone with water, replace the cup, put the lid on, and freeze. You can either use the inner cup to keep drinks or dips cool while serving or you can fill the cup with the ice and start the process over to hold 51 ice cubes.

I have been so impressed with this ice creator/holder. Unlike regular ice trays, the scent or stench of your freezer doesn't get absorbed into the ice thanks to the airtight lid.
