I received the 'Scatter Kindness' decal with cute flowers. I was able to choose the colors that would match my baby's nursery. I love how it turned out. I added it right above her closet door and it looks great. Applying the decal on the wall was a little difficult because my wall is bumpy, but once I had it on, it hasn't bubbled and it sticks perfectly.
Since my walls aren't the best for decals, I decided to add my 'Bubbles, Bubbles Everywhere' decal onto my son's shower door since it is a smooth surface. I am so glad I did! I think it is adorable and my son loves to point out the bubble decals while he is in the bath. The vinyl has added such a fun element to the bathroom. We love it!

Baby Shower: BedBuggs Boutique Rose Pillow Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

I am in love with decorative pillows. If it wasn't for my husband, I am pretty sure my home would be overloaded with them. I didn't know what to expect from a handmade pillow, but this one is unbelievable. I can smash the pillow with my giant pregnant body and it fluffs right back to a perky flower (if only that were true for my pregnant body). Baby Shower: Learning Curve Thomas Early Engineers Set Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

Since we have been buying and receiving a lot of things for our upcoming baby girl, I wanted to find something that would make my son feel special. I have heard that it is a good idea to tell your child that the baby has given him a gift so that they like the baby, so that is what I have been doing. While intended to use with the Thomas Wooden Railway products, we actually connected the roundabout to his IKEA train set. It worked out great. My son loves pushing his Thomas through the station, raising and closing the crossing gate, and pushing through the cargo stop. You can add other Thomas sets, including the Sodor and the Roll Quarry Set for years and years of fun. My son absolutely loves his station and we are excited to add on more in the future.

Baby Shower: Evenflo Savvy Parents Gift Pack Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

A couple of weeks ago, my husband and I packed up our 2 year old and headed to Georgia. I am an unpleasant traveler, especially being pregnant, and usually our son starts getting angry within 10 minutes of being stuck in his car seat. Between being uncomfortable, the mess, and the boredom, traveling typically doesn't seem worth it. However, this trip was important. It would be the last time we would be able to make it to Georgia to see my husband's family for a long time with a baby coming soon.

I received a travel pack from Evenflo that really helped. A car organizer kept my son's snacks and toys next to him for easy access and without piles everywhere else in the car. Snacks and a fun Fuzzy Bee book kept my son distracted and quiet, the 'Baby on Board' window shade prevented a lot of screaming from having the sun in my son's eyes. The car dust buster from Black & Decker kept me sane. At gas stations, I was able to vacuum up all the snack messes and keep that traveled in scent out of our car.

Speaking of traveling, Evenflo conducted a survey among parents. Check out some of the things they learned:

• More time on the road often puts safety concerns into high gear. And it can trigger tears of frustration – in kids AND parents.
• The biggest worry parents have when taking car trips is that their young child will be harmed in a collision (76%).
• Integral to a safe ride is proper car-seat installation, but a full 65% of mothers and 72% of fathers encounter challenges when installing car seats.
• And – oh baby! – nearly half (49%) admit that installing the car seat caused them to sweat more than actually making the baby did!

The Seat Feat

Talk about a pain: 60% of moms and 63% of dads confess installing their car seat was challenging, while 5% of moms actually compared the experience with going through labor. And the challenge doesn’t end when the seat is installed, parents expressed other car seat frustrations: Adjusting car-seat straps got parents in a tangle the most (60%), followed by making sure the straps were tight enough (48%). It’s no surprise, as a third (34%) of parents say their child has wiggled out of their car seat and one-fifth of parents admit this happens at least once a week.

Stemming the Tide of Tantrums

All parents hope for a smooth getaway when heading out for a family road trip. So after safety, what do moms and dads worry about the most? Some 48% of parents worry about keeping their child entertained while in their car seat, 34% worry that their little Houdini will wiggle out of the car seat and 32% worry their child will have a temper tantrum. But preparation and creativity is the key to keeping car-seat-strapped kids happy: 72% of parents stock the car with toys, 54% rely on Cheerios and Goldfish snacks, 46% sing silly songs, 36% play DVDs and 27% keep books on hand. Happy kids can sometimes mean messy cars! Of the Cheerio-chompers, 37% leave behind at least a dozen Os in their seat after a road trip, and 11% leave enough for tomorrow morning’s breakfast bowl.

Pot Holes and Potty Mouths

Let’s face it … parents are humans and are not exempt to frustrations of the road! Parents admit that when in driving mode they don’t always take the high road: Almost three-quarters (74%) of moms and dads admit to cursing at another driver in their child’s presence, while 28% have flipped the bird, and 21% have rolled down their window to scream at another driver. While 30% of parents say they never swear in front of their kids in the car, 61% say they sometimes let the loose language fly.

And talk about a “wheel” distraction: attending to a baby while driving causes 38% to miss their exit once in a while, and 12% to miss their exit often and has caused 38% of parents to get lost.

Baby Shower: Woombie Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

I had a really hard time swaddling my son. He always managed to get loose and then would startle and wake himself up. With this upcoming baby, I figured there had to be a better way to keep my baby feeling safe, secure, and like they might still be in something similar to the womb. Woombie is so great! You just zip your baby right in.
The Woombie is quite versatile. As seen above, you can do a full swaddle, one or both arms free, or the legs can be free for swings, strollers, and seats.
I love how comfortable and lightweight the fabric is. I was very concerned with my baby overheating in the past, but this is such a safe way to swaddle without using any loose blankets that can become dangerous.

I also really like that the Woombie can be zipped from the bottom and from the top. This makes diapers changes easy. Instead of having to completely unwrap your baby, you can just unzip the bottom.

Lastly, my son used to scratch at his face while he was sleeping. Every morning he would wake up looking like he had been attacked. Those baby mittens never stay on! The Woombie is also great for keeping those little hands out of a baby's cute face. I can't wait to get my baby girl all snuggled up in her Woombie!

I am so excited for my baby girl's nursery to come together. I wanted to find some pieces that would really make it special. I had the opportunity to review two pairs of sandals: one for me and one for my husband. I chose the Rasta Dreamtime sandals.
I really love these sandals. I have already worn them multiple times. They are super comfortable even though I am massively pregnant and nothing is comfortable. My feet don't slide around in them and the straps aren't too tight. I love that my sandals are made from recycled PET liner and tires. Isn't that so cool? I have received several compliments about how cute they are.
My husband received the Bail Out sandals in brown.
My husband is obsessed with his new sandals. The first day we got them, he didn't take them off till we went to bed because he said they were just that comfortable. They have a very cushy and soft, molded footbed that provides excellent support. Both of our sandals are very well made and durable. I have had almost every sandal I have ever owned fall apart, but I really don't think that will be the case with these. My husband wears his sandals almost every single day and they still are showing very little, if any, wear.
