SodaStream Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

My husband is a huge soda drinker. There are actually nights when he wakes up thirsty, goes to the fridge, grabs a soda, drinks, then goes back to bed. That is serious dedication to the soda industry. With an obsession like my husbands, soda can get pricey and it isn't always on hand.

SodaStream provides a smart solution for soda drinkers. When you purchase a SodaStream Starter Kit, you will receive the soda fountain, carbonator(s), and carbonating bottles, ultimately saving a lot of money. You can also purchase a variety of soda mixes (pictured below) including Diet Cola, Root Beer, Lemon-Lime, and more. I, personally, am not a huge soda drinker, but I love that with the SodaStream, I can carbonate water and add a couple of drops of delicious flavoring from their MyWater line such as berry or orange.
SodaStream offers four different models of soda makers, all at different prices.
The Fountain Jet Starter Kit is $99.95 and can make up to 110 liters of carbonated water.
The Genesis Starter Kit is the only kit that can be purchased in this fun red. It is slim and modern priced at $119.95
The Penguin Starter Kit is $199.95, but is the only system that comes with super attractive glass carafes which are also dishwasher-safe.
I had the opportunity to review the Pure Starter Kit, priced at $149.95. I chose this design because I liked the simplicity of it making it look fantastic if I decide to display it on my counter. I also thought the stainless steel would look great in my kitchen. I was not disappointed. My family had a great time trying out the SodaStream and soda mixes. It was very easy to put together and make the soda. You just place the carbonater into the machine, fill the carbonating bottles with water, pull the lever three times, remove the bottle and add the soda mix. My first attempt at carbonating my water was a little scary. I wasn't sure if I was actually carbonating it so I pulled the lever an extra few times. When I removed the carbonating bottle, my water sprayed everywhere. I would say it is pretty important to follow the instructions and even if it doesn't look like it is carbonating, it really is! My second attempt went perfectly. The soda was delicious. I would have never guessed that it didn't come from the store. The SodaStream is such a fun and convenient machine to own. I am excited to have my SodaStream be the life of the party at every function I attend.
