Bright Starts InGenuity Playard Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

Bright Starts has just introduced a new Playard in their InGenuity Collection. It is full of fabulous features that make this playard a must have for all mommies. I was beyond impressed when mine arrived and was thrilled with the quality and functionality.

This playard is appropriate to use from birth all the way up to your child reaching 35 inches or 30 lbs, whichever comes first. It is extremely easy to put together. I just snapped the sides and pushed down the bottom. If you are using the portable crib, you just lay the mattress at the bottom. To use the bassinet, changing table, and storage tray a few more steps are needed, including snapping and zipping in the bassinet, and snapping on the changing table and storage tray. I am absolutely in love with the changing table and storage tray. You can use the changing table until your baby weighs 25 lbs., so I am still able to put my toddler up for an easy diaper change. The table is very well padded and my son seems to find it quite comfortable. I love how deep the sides are, making it difficult for your child to roll out. When the changing table is not in use, you can pivot it to the side and out of your way. The convenience of having huge pockets for diapers,wipes, and toys is a major bonus. The pockets can hold an entire case of wipes and numerous diapers.
One unique feature that the Bright Starts playard has is a bassinet with 2 positions: slightly inclined or flat. In the picture above, I have the bassinet slightly inclined. I have heard that having your baby slightly inclined will help with any congestion and reflux.
If you decide to lay your baby flat instead, you simply unzip the inclined side as you can see on the left of the picture above. It is safe to use the bassinet up to 15 lbs. or until your baby can push up on their hands and knees, whichever comes first.
The playard is very sturdy. The mesh is tight and the mattress fits perfectly, without unsafe extra space on the sides. I am particularly fond of the gender neutral colors and adorable patterns used. With most of my baby gear, I hide it away because of the tacky colors or attention it brings, but I would definitely feel comfortable keeping this attractive playard in my family room when I have a new baby.
Storing your playard is also easy. I am so impressed that you don't have to remove the bassinet to store your playard, like all other brands I have seen. You do, however, need to store your changing table and storage tray outside the carrying bag. You can purchase your own Bright Starts InGenuity Playard at Target for $99.99!
