Best Friends Forever Book Review & {GIVEAWAY!! 3 Winners!} CLOSED

Do you need a book to read this summer while lying on the beach or hanging out at the pool? Maybe you just need something to read during your kid's nap times? I have just the thing! I just got done reading Jennifer Weiner's latest book and it was a perfect summer read. Here is a short synopsis of the book straight from the publisher (I'm afraid to tell you the details of the book myself as I have been known to accidentally spoil books and movies for people. Sometimes I just get too excited about what I'm talking about and forget you shouldn't know the ending):

"In her thirty-three years, Addie Downs has lost a lot, but never found love. She forgoes her fifteenth year high school reunion to go out on a disastrous dot.com date, returning home alone to the same house in the same small town she grew up in. A late night knock on the door opens a world of adventure, when Addie is reunited with her long lost best friend, Valerie Adler, who may or may not have killed a former jock football player in a hit-and-run after the reunion."

Jennifer Wiener uses a lot of humor in this book and I found it hilarious. Throughout the book, there are flashbacks of the girl's growing up years, telling you the story of how their friendship came to be as well as how it ended. Weiner gives you just enough information in each chapter to make you want to keep turning the page to figure out the rest of the story. I stayed up a lot of nights way later then I had intended to, thinking I would read "just one more page" but I couldn't stop until it got to the point where I physically couldn't keep my eyes open anymore!

The only thing I didn't like about this book was the bad language that was scattered throughout the book as well as some innappropriate subject matter. I thought most of it was unnecessary and uncomfortable. Besides those parts though, I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who needs a light, summer read.

Tuesday, July 14th, Best Friends Forever will hit the bookshelves and Jen will be in New York to promote her book. She will be speaking, answering questions, and signing books at Barnes & Noble (Lincoln Center--1972 Broadway at 66^thStreet) at 7:30PM.
