"First, of course, the alpacas lounge around, graze grass, eat hay, look darling and take the year to grow their fiber for you. In the spring a professional shearer is brought in to give the alpacas a hair cut. Except for their pride, the alpacas are not hurt. Snuggly Toes foot warmers are made in the U.S. The fiber is spun at a mill in New York. The mill is at another small alpaca farm. Meredith then knits the yarn into a blanket. The blanket is thrown in the washing machine on hot, and it felts. The result is a thick material. Those fibers are so interwoven and stuck together, the fabric is NOT coming apart. Snuggly Toes foot warmers are then cut from the fabric."
I received a pair of foot warmers for review and think they are great. Here is what they look like before putting them into your shoes:
I have tried these out in two pairs of my slippers and definitely think they have helped keep my feet toastie. I also like that they add extra padding which makes my slippers more comfortable.
(on a side note, don't you just love these slippers? A little old lady I know crocheted them for me and I LOVE them).
Snuggly Toes also makes pet beds made from Alpaca fur to help keep your pet warm during the cold winter months. You have your choice of 4 different sizes and 7 different patterns to choose from.

I think a good name for him/her would be Neve {pronounced Neh-veh} -- it's Italian for Snow and I think it would make a cute name!

The alpaca should be named "Todos." This is because in Peru, when street vendors are trying to sell their wares, they claim that everything they are selling is made from baby Alpaca. "Todos baby alpaca" is what they say CONSTANTLY!
