Navel gazing at it's finest is one of my favorite blogs on my google reader. She is totally hilarious. Yesterday she posted about a service project her and some of her friends are doing and asked for every one's help in accomplishing their goal. They are trying to provide warm winter coats to refugee children that have fled to Salt Lake City, UT. to get away from their war torn countries in Africa and Asia. Some of these children have never experienced any kind of winter and have nothing to protect them from the cold. Her goal is to get 100 coats and she needs some help doing this. If you would like to help out, all you have to do is send gently used coats, or buy a coat online and have it shipped to:
Att: 100 Coats for Kids Project
Refugee Center at AAU
1588 South Major Street
Salt Lake City, Utah 84115
As an extra incentive, if you comment on this post before midnight tonight, you are entered to win a $25.00 gift card to Amazon. You get extra entries for Facebooking, blogging and Twittering about the service project!

I think adult sized coats would be appreciated as well.
ReplyDeleteI just donated our coats to the school coat drive for the homeless shelter. Wonderful cause, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI am donating our old coats locally in Boston. I love this idea and know how much it helps out. Thanks!
