Frosty Festivities: HearthSong Play Washer Machine and Microwave Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

This year, I wanted to find a Christmas present that I knew my son would love, he would use daily, and allowed him to use his crazy imagination and fun personality. I found the perfect gift for my toddler, and you can too at HearthSong.

I had the opportunity to review the Pretend Washer Machine and Microwave. Let me start by saying that I could not wait for my son to go to sleep so I could put it together. I let my excitement get the best of me and decided to put together the washer machine while my husband had my son in the bath. Unfortunately, he saw it half way done, insisted on helping me put it together, and then played with it. At least I will know he will love it when Christmas comes!
Both the pretend washer machine and the pretend microwave came unassembled, but were both very easy to put together. I just had to use an allen wrench (comes with) and screw all the sides together. Each piece took about 15-20 minutes to assemble without any problem.

These toys are made from wood and are actually made to endure hard play, which is great for my rough houser. I imagine both of these pieces being enjoyed for years to come by my son and also by any future children I may have.

I love how large the washer machine toy is. My son can actually climb in and not hurt himself. He sat in the washer for a few minutes and talked to himself. I then showed him how to put things in the washer and then close the door. He loved it! I will say that both the microwave and the washer are a little hard to open, as the magnet is very strong. I think we will tape a small piece of paper over the magnet until my son gets some more muscle.
I love all of the realistic knobs that actually turn. My son is always twisting the knobs on my dishwasher so these are perfect.
The microwave has an adorable turn table that actually spins. I am excited for my son to see this fun feature. I love the bright and fun colors that just call out to be played with.
Here is my son sneaking a play session with his new washer machine before he went to bed. I definitely recommend purchasing your own set for a special little one. These are great products and I am sure they will be very much enjoyed!!
