Chuggington Over & Under Wooden Railway Starter Set Review

Like all boys, my son LOVES trains. He is a big fan of Chuggington so he was thrilled to receive his new train set with the Wilson on KoKo trains. We have had the starter set for quite a few months and my son and his cousin and friends play with this set probably more than any of his other toys. It's a huge hit at our house.

This 22-piece set features a 2-in-1 Clock Tower: stack for tower or unstack for two separate tunnels! Includes Wilson, Koko, and Vee.

  • 2-in-1 design creates more ways to play
  • Real wood construction
  • Exclusive Chuggington Track
  • Compatible with other wooden track systems

  • We have an Ikea set that my son uses with the Chuggington starter set and the tracks all fit perfectly together. The set is really high quality and has stayed perfect even through all the rough play that comes with a bunch of three year old boys.
    The tracks go together easy enough that my son can do all of it by himself, including the hill. The tunnel is such a fun detail that all kids are sure to love.

    BUY IT!
    You can purchase the Chuggington Over & Under Starter Kit for $49.99.

    HearthSong Rally Speed Raceway Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

    Around every holiday, from Christmases to birthdays, the hunt for toys my children will really love and actually play with is on. Since I was introduced to HearthSong a little over a year ago, I always check out what they have to offer. Their selection is huge and full of products that have been thought out for children to enjoy.
    My son loves all things related to cars. Since he didn't have any raceways, I thought the Rally Speed Raceway would be perfect for him. When he opened it on Christmas he lit up and let out an excited scream. We had to set it up immediately.
    I was pleased to find that setup meant taking the racing track out of the box, opening the bags of cars, and begin racing. A wooden flag is used as a start gate and once you pull it out of it's slot, the two (or four) cars race down their tracks to the finish line. The finish line can be laid down or put up to stop the cars at the end of the race. Watching the cars flip back and forth down each different colored track is so fun. This is a particularly great toy for play dates. Two children can each have control of a car and watch to see who wins.
    You can purchase this fun toy on sale for $43.99!

    WIN IT!!

    Wholesale Costume Club Review

    Since my son was born, I have started to love Halloween. It is so fun to get him all dressed up, see his excitement to see pumpkins, decorations, and other children dressed up, and being the responsible parent by eating all his candy. I am even more excited that my daughter will be here for her first Halloween. There are so many cute costumes to dress little girls up in! Wholesale Costume Club offers awesome costumes for the entire family.
    Infant costumes.
    Children's costumes.
    Women's costumes.
    Men's costumes.
    I received the Little Elephant Infant Costume for the purpose of my review. It is so cute and I can't wait for my baby girl to wear it. The actual costume is a bunting so it will fit her no matter how tiny she is all the way up to 6 months. The elephant ears and trunk hat are to die for. The ears are so big and fun. The elephant hair isn't as visible on the costume I received as it is in the picture, but I still love it just the same. The fabric is soft and lightweight. I imagine this will be quite comfortable for a newborn.

    BUY IT!
    Make sure to check out Wholesale Costume Club for fun and affordable costumes for the entire family!

    Baby Shower: Learning Curve Thomas Early Engineers Set Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

    Since we have been buying and receiving a lot of things for our upcoming baby girl, I wanted to find something that would make my son feel special. I have heard that it is a good idea to tell your child that the baby has given him a gift so that they like the baby, so that is what I have been doing. My son is absolutely crazy about train sets right now and doesn't every little boy love Thomas? He was super excited to receive the Early Engineers Roundabout Station Set.
    The roundabout set comes with the Maithwaite Station, Thomas, a crossing gate, spinning cargo, a tree, and two track connectors.
    While intended to use with the Thomas Wooden Railway products, we actually connected the roundabout to his IKEA train set. It worked out great. My son loves pushing his Thomas through the station, raising and closing the crossing gate, and pushing through the cargo stop. You can add other Thomas sets, including the Sodor and the Roll Quarry Set for years and years of fun. My son absolutely loves his station and we are excited to add on more in the future.

    Baby Shower: Boon Flo and Odd Duck Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

    I am a huge fan of all things created by Boon. I own the high chair, several of their feeding products, and now a couple of their bath products. I have always been impressed with the modern styles, functionality, and thoughtfulness that has gone into these products. The bath products were no exception.
    I received Bob Odd Duck for review. This duck actually serves two purposes in the kid's bathroom: it makes a great, hip decoration with our orange and blue theme and my son absolutely loves to play with it in the bath. Not only does it float perfectly upright, it is BpA, PVC and phthalate-free! Water doesn't get sucked in, so you never have to worry about mold.
    I also received the Flo. This is such a simple invention, but oh so genius. It clips easily onto the bath faucet, protects little one's head from injury, and brings loads of fun.
    You can fill the top of the Flo with bubble bath and release the desired amount with just a push of a button. My toddler loves this and adds lots of bubbles!
    Washing my toddler's hair used to be a nightmare. He would scream and shout if water got into his eyes. The Flo provides a fun fountain that my son loves and isn't afraid to enjoy letting the water rush onto his soapy head. After his hair is washed, the Flo makes a great waterfall for all his cars and his Odd Duck!
    WIN IT!!

    Guidecraft Transportation Table and Chair Set Review & {GIVEAWAY!!}

    While searching the Guidecraft site, I have to admit, I was impressed. Everything they have to offer looks amazing. I was immediately drawn to their children's table and chair sets since my son doesn't really enjoy sitting in his high chair anymore while eating or coloring and I don't trust him to stay put in adult chairs.

    My son is obsessed with all forms of transportation: cars, trucks, trains, planes, tractors; he loves them all. When I saw the Transportation Table and Chair Set, I knew it was the perfect fit for my toddler. Boy, was I right!

    The table and chairs came in a well packed box. Each piece was individually wrapped in a protective covering to prevent scratching or damage. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I was very pleased.
    Each piece was labeled to make directions easier. The directions were clear and putting together everything was fairly easy. My husband had to help me a couple times to hold things tightly in place while I screwed them in, but other than that, it was very easy and didn't take too much time at all.
    My son awoke the following morning and ran straight to his new table and chairs. I wish I would have taken a picture of his face. He was so thrilled to have a place to sit and play that was just his size. He also went around the entire table and both chairs, pointed to the form of transportation, and excitedly told us what each one was.
    I am particularly fond of the center storage. The center circle can be pulled out and inside is a large storage area. We keep our crayons, coloring book, and a few toy cars inside.
    The detail of the table and chair set is unbelievable, I might even say beautiful. The hand-carved details are incredible. I love that the vehicles have dimension and aren't just painted on the table flat. We have been more than happy with this fabulous set. I have already recommended this set to everyone who has seen it and all who loves it and now I am recommending it to you, too! You and your little one will love it! Make sure to check out all of their fun designs at Guidecraft!

    Batter Up Kids Cooking Shop Tween Pot Set & Sauté Pan Review & {GIVEAWAY!}

    I love getting my entire family helping in the kitchen. Batter Up Kids Cooking Shop provides everything to get your children, tweens, and family involved with frosting and decorating kits, to kids aprons, to kid-friendly appliances. Shopping their site is a great way to get your family in the kitchen and excited to spend time together and gaining a passion for cooking/baking!
    I had the opportunity to try out the Tween Cook Pot Set in my home. This 3 pot enamel-on-steel set includes a small 1.5 quart pot, a medium 2.5 quart pot, and a larger 3.5 quart pot. You can purchase a set for your tween or family for $47.oo.
    These are great size pots! I found the 1.5 quart (the smallest) perfect for cooking pasta for 1-2 people. I would say with each larger pot, you can make food for one or two more people. These pots are super easy to clean; I just rinsed clean with my dish soap and wiped it dry. If I could make an improvement, it would be to add rubber or some kind of heat resistant handles. As of current, the handles do get pretty hot so I had to pick up the pot with pot holders. Other than that, the pots cooked my food evenly and my water was brought to a boil fairly quickly.
    I also received the Sauté Pan in bright yellow for review. This pan has a nonstick interior and a comfortable grip handle. It can be put in the oven up to 350 degrees and you can use it with any utensils. This pan is a great deal, especially since it is on sale for only $8.99!
    I was so impressed with this sauté pan. My food didn't stick to the pan while I was cooking or while I was cleaning it. I didn't notice any scratching of the nonstick surface. This has actually become my new favorite pan. It is so easy to use and cooks my food perfectly. It is hard to believe that the price is so incredibly affordable.

    WIN IT!

    Easter Pillow Pet review and {GIVEAWAY!!}

    Remember when I did a review for Pillow Pets? Well, they now have a new spring/Easter themed animal and I had the opportunity to do another review. These Pillow Pets are the perfect thing to put in your kid's Easter basket. They have all kinds of Spring time animals including:
    a duck

    ladybug

    bee

    lamb

    and of course, a little bunny.

    In case you missed my previous review, Pillow Pets are a stuffed animal that doubles as a pillow. There is a Velcro strap that folds it into a stuffed animal shape, and when you undo the strap the animal lays flat like a pillow. They are made of the softest material you can imagine and are a perfect cuddly companion for your child. My son has had his for months and still loves on it all day long, dragging it around the house with him.
    I was able to do a review of the pink bunny and was so excited to give it as a gift to my friend who just had a baby in February. Her baby is the cutest little baby girl you have ever seen and if these pictures don't make you want to run out and buy one of these Pillow Pets (or steal her baby) then I don't know what will.

    There are plenty other animals to choose from and you are sure to find at least one animal that your child is in love with. Check out the Pillow Pet's website to see all of the animal choices.

    Buy it!
    Pillow Pets has a deal going on right now where you can get your first Pet for $19.95 and all subsequent pets for only $15.95!
