Zero Water Filter review & {Giveaway!}

I have been buying bottled water to use for my baby's bottles for a while. Our tap water is gross and I worry about my baby's kidneys processing all that nastiness and any other health problems it may cause. But, hauling the bottled water from the shelf, to my car, then up my 4 flights of stairs has gotten very tiring! I wanted a good filtration system in my home so I didn't have to deal with the struggle.I am so glad I finally received a Zero Water Filter Pitcher! Not only is the water healthy for my baby, it Tastes so much better, too! No more nasty chlorine-flavored water. I also love how easy the filtration system is to use. Just stick it under the faucet and it's ready to drink.
It does take a while to fill up (I timed it at about 15 min for a full pitcher), but it gets the water extremely pure! Thus the name, Zero Water! It goes throough a 5 Stage Ion Exchange Technology filter. They even sent me a testing device to prove that it has Zero impurities. Before I filled up my pitcher, I tested my tap water, which had a reading of 35. Then I tested the bottled water, whose reading was 5. Finally, the water I filtered with my new Zero Water filter had a reading of Zero! It was even cleaner than my bottled water! The tester also helps you to see when you need to replace your filter, which is a reading of 6, or about 30 gallons.
Another cool feature of the Zero Water Pitcher is that you can pour the water out the top, like normal pitchers, or you can use the spout under the handle to get your water (although the spout is a little slow). I was afraid the filter would fall out when I tipped over the pitcher, but it stayed firmly in place. It is a great, quality water pitcher!
Zero Water also carries a large water Filter Bottle for use with a big family, school, sports team, work, etc!

  11. I learned that ZeroWater® filters produce the only filtered water that meets the FDA definition for purified bottled water. So you get purified-quality water without the plastic bottles or the high cost. Bottled water in the supermarket can cost you anywhere from $2.50 per gallon to over $8.00 per gallon. Once you start using the ZeroWater® unit, it only costs 50 cents per gallon to have purified-quality water. amypugmire@live.com

  47. The good thing about ZeroWater is that they are the only one with a certified pitcher filter to remove chromium-6, not even Brita or Pur has a certified pitcher for that chemical.
