    ReplyDelete
  67. Awwww! I don't know anything about the army life.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  68. I'm from Canada citizen but currently living in California. Not much of an army life up in Canada.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete

    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  78. There will be a preview for Tangled before Toy Story 3 so keep your eyes out for it!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  79. We will! I was thinking of taking Harrison to Toy Story 3- he's never been to the movies, but he loves TV so much I feel like he would sit through a whole movie, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I'm pretty proud of him!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  81. Haha! We're going to see a screening of Toy Story 3 Friday night of the studio lot. Can't wait to see it! Should be good!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  82. My nephew, Micah, is a TV junkie! He would sit there for hours if my sister let him. Haha!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  83. So does your hubby go overseas? Are you alone a lot?
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  84. It's crazy. He could seriously watch it all day long. I have to do no TV days or mornings, or else it gets out of control.

    ReplyDelete
  85. What are his favorite shows?
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  86. We did a 6 month deployment about a year ago- I moved back to MN to live in my parents since I had a baby and was pregnant. He travels a lot- he's traveling for 3 weeks of July- I'm scared to be alone with these boys (17 months and almost 6 months!) without my best friend!

    ReplyDelete
  87. My nephew loves Handy Manny and Little Einsteins!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  88. He loves Sesame Street and Blue's Clues. Blue was one of his first words, lol. DVR is a lifesaver, cause at least I can control what and how much we watch.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I love the DVR!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  90. It's hard. It is good for our relationship though. We grew a lot stronger during the deployment. "Dear John" totally copied me- I would send him boxes of letters, one for each day that were numbered. =)

    ReplyDelete
  91. We were very fortunate to only do 6 months though. I don't know how some woman do those 15 month deployments!

    ReplyDelete
  92. Awwww! So sweet! I'm sure he loved that.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  93. I sure couldn't do it.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  94. Is it really tough on the kids?
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  95. We are getting out in February, though. He's joining the National Guard, so he'll still deploy. But I said that's OK as long as I'm in a stable place with strong relationships. What I would hate is being somewhere new, then having him deploy.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I definitely don't want to move in with my parents again, lol. They were great and I appreciated all the help, but that was... interesting. =)

    ReplyDelete
  97. You'll have to explain to me what it means to join the National Guard. We don't learn about the American army at all up in Canada although I hear a lot about it here.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  98. Hahahaha! I know what you mean. I go home and stay with my parents for a month in the summer and that is truly interesting!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  99. Are you able to Skype or video chat with hubby while he's gone?
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  100. I suppose... =) It's pretty similar to being in the Army, except he gets a "regular" job. He'll go to an Army base one weekend a month to do training (He'll get paid pretty well for that) and then deploy like normal. His job will be legally held responsible for giving him his job back once he returns from a deployment.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Yep, we did Skype. It makes a huge difference! And the Army had a reading program where he was that made DVD's of soldiers reading books, so we had a DVD of him reading to Harrison and we played that a lot for him.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Harrison cried pretty hard the first time Harold (hubby) tried to hold him after getting back. It was pretty sad. Harold left when he was 3 months and got back when he was 9 months.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Oh ok. I see. So it's more stable for your family then?
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  104. I follow via GFC!
    kelly@purplelemondesigns.com

    ReplyDelete
  105. That reading DVD idea is so sweet!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  106. Exactly. We get to pick a place to live, and stay there. I think I need that- meeting new people is great, but I need some stability.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I totally agree.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  108. Yes, everyone is still up in Canada. They all live in Ontario about an hour from Toronto.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  109. We'll settle back up in Canada in a few years. It's hard to be so far from family. We talk all the time but it would be nice to see my nephews more often.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  110. That will be good. Suppose that job is too good to pass up though, huh? =)

    ReplyDelete
  111. We used to go to Winnipeg before we turned 21 to drink, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Hahaha! Too funny! I have cousins in Winnipeg.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  113. Disney was definitely too good to pass up. A dream come true for us!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  114. How long has you been married?
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  115. I am sure- how do you like California? I've only been once.

    ReplyDelete
  116. We love living here! The weather is incredible and being so close to the beach is nice!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  117. 2 years at the end of this month.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  118. Were you married back home where your parent's live?
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  119. Maybe you can just convince your family to move there? =)

    ReplyDelete
  120. Did you two meet in MN?
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  121. I've been trying to convince everyone to move down but so far no luck. They love to come visit though!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  122. =) No, we're in Texas now, and we met here. We're not sure where we want to live after we get out- depends on jobs. Most likely Austin, TX (we're about an hour away now, in Fort hood)or Kansas City (where my hubby is from)

    ReplyDelete
  123. So what brought you to Texas originally? School?
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  124. I was a nanny- I found a great job and just kind of up and moved to Austin! I met my husband online.

    ReplyDelete
  125. My hubby and I met in University back home.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  126. I'm trying to convince my parents to move whereever we end up. =)

    ReplyDelete
  127. I was a nanny before we moved here too! To sweet little twin girls!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  128. Really? Oh that's funny! I nannied boy/girl twins in Austin, and twin boys in Minnesota before I left! Funny.

    ReplyDelete
  129. How did you score The Bragging Mommy gig? LOL!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  130. I got so super lucky! She just posted one day that she needed help, and I applied, and got picked! It's so awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  131. My sister just called to tell me my littlest nephews new words. So adorable!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  132. K so I really hope one of us wins this with all this posting! LOL. I kind of forgot what I was doing, just having a great conversation! =)

    ReplyDelete
  133. He's saying "all done"! So cute!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  134. Aww... Harrison just learned to say that. He says "Gaaaaaaaaal Gone" =)

    ReplyDelete
  135. He's babbling so much more lately!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  136. Harrison is eating grapes right now, I'm so excited! He is the PICKIEST eater, even fresh fruit!! I'm like, who doesn't love fruit? But he's loving the grapes for some reason!

    ReplyDelete
  137. Definitely! 4 or 5 kids!
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  138. I've been wanting them for years. He's not ready.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  139. I would love to have them and raise them back home surrounded by family.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  140. I'm hoping to win this monitor for my sister-in-law whose monitor sucks.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  141. Good luck~ =) haha, two is enough for me right now. I do want another someday, though. Word to the wise- get on birth control RIGHT AWAY after having a baby- we got pregnant when Harrison was 2 months old, and I was breastfeeding.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Then hopefully we'll get it back in a year or two when we have our first.
    andreapaetkau at gmail dot com

    ReplyDelete
  143. Yea being around family would be great. I know I could be a better mother sometimes if I got more breaks, and I hate that my kids are so far away from their grandparents!

    ReplyDelete
  144. Yea this monitor looks outrageously cool. I hate ours.

    ReplyDelete
  145. My house looks like a toy store threw up in it right now.

    ReplyDelete
